The Postgraduate Facility Management course is a renowned register (CPION) course in which the latest developments in facility management are investigated from a broad business administration approach. In addition, the Postgraduate Facility Management course is unique in guiding the participant towards a well-founded vision of the future of facility services in their own organization.
Participants bring in their current issues which are addressed from a business perspective. The issues have serious consequences for the management of facility services. At the level of the organization as a whole, the Facility Manager is asked to contribute to the development of the company or institutional policy. In the Postgraduate Facility Management program, a lot of attention is therefore paid to the relationship between the facility and primary processes from a strategic perspective.
Training objectives
Participants acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Translate the institutional or corporate strategy into a strategic policy;
- Analyzing and (re) designing work processes;
- Initiate and manage change processes;
- Maintaining an effective personal management style.
Work forms
During the course, professors from various universities offer presentations, case studies and exercises. The introduced theory is applied by participants in small groups of seven to fourteen participants through concrete assignments in their own practical situation and further deepened in the training.
During the meetings, much attention is paid to changes that take place in their own organization and the contribution that the participant can make to this. The training is unique in guiding the participant to a well-founded policy vision or advisory report on facility services in their own organization. A lot of time is also spent on the personal development of the participant.
Network function
Each training group has a varied composition. It consists of driven Young Professionals in combination with experienced to very experienced professionals. This composition ensures that everyone's individual network is broadened and deepened. Over the years, former participants still come together. In this way, innovations and changes, strategies and practical issues are continuously exchanged. Ifmec facilitates these network meetings through its events around an annual research agenda.
Graduation
During the training, they work on a policy plan or advisory report for their own organization. This policy plan or advisory report serves as a test for obtaining the Post-HBO diploma.
The course is included in the Postgraduate register of the Post Higher Professional Education Foundation. Each participant receives a certificate from the Ifmec Academy as proof that all parts of the training have been completed. An examination committee, composed of representatives from the professional field, assesses the final report. If this (Register) training has been successfully completed, you will receive a diploma that will be included in the Graduation Register.
