Partnership is the key to achieve all the SustainableDevelopment Goals. It is important to stimulate partnerships within and beyond your organisation. Facility Management, also known as Enabling Management, is a connecting factor between all business units. The primary process is supported by the Facility (enabling) organisation with the help of suppliers. To provide the best and efficient support for the primary process, it is necessary to have an integral approach.
The High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE) is a campus with the size of one square kilometer. Here not only the facets of Facility Management work together. There is integral cooperation throughout the campus by various tenants, facility companies, suppliers, local government parties and local companies. They use each other’s strengths to achieve common goals. For example the campus has the ambition to be the most sustainable and innovative campus in Europe by 2025. To achieve this goal, the purchaser asks suppliers to set up a business case in which the contribution to the overarching goal is confirmed. The strength of HTCE is in the stimulation of this collaboration. For example, they have the catering facility at a central location within the square kilometer area. This means that all stakeholders of the campus automatically meet and connect. In addition, the campus organises free events where knowledge and contacts are shared. Special R&D facilities have been built for tenants to stimulate innovation.
